Black Creek's leadership team blends decades of upstream petroleum engineering, project execution, and corporate stewardship. Together, they steer the company's integrated services strategy across upstream, energy infrastructure, and marine — bringing both Nigerian operational fluency and global technical rigor to every engagement.
Our Chief Executive Officer sets the strategic direction, oversees governance, and represents Black Creek in its most senior partnerships across the industry, regulators, and community.
Chief Godfrey Tare Pondi is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Black Creek Global Resources Limited. Since establishing the company in 2013, he has charted its evolution from a regional civil construction firm into the integrated, multi-sector services partner it is today. His leadership has been the driving force behind Black Creek's diversification into the oil, gas, and energy sectors.
A committed advocate for Nigerian Content development, Chief Pondi has overseen the company's certification across NOGIC JQS, NUPRC permits, ISO 9001:2015, and Dun & Bradstreet — building a corporate platform engineered for both regulatory rigor and operational excellence. He continues to set the company's strategic vision, ensuring Black Creek delivers on its commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable value creation.
Each member of our executive team brings deep technical expertise and operational discipline to their function. Together they translate strategy into safe, on-schedule project execution.
Dr. Victor Oyinke Isereke serves as Black Creek's General Manager, holding overall responsibility for company-wide operational performance. He oversees the integration of our three business units — Upstream Services, Energy Infrastructure EPCI, and Marine & Offshore Support — ensuring discipline, accountability, and seamless cross-functional delivery.
With deep operational experience in the Nigerian petroleum services sector, Dr. Isereke directs project planning, resource allocation, HSE governance, and quality assurance across the enterprise.
Emmanuel Gesikeme Akpulu leads Black Creek's commercial growth strategy. As Business Development Manager, he oversees client engagement, pre-qualification, tendering, and partnership development — translating market opportunities into structured, contracted scope of work for the operations teams.
His remit spans the entire client journey — from technical capability presentation and proposal development through contract negotiation and post-award account stewardship — ensuring lasting partnerships rooted in mutual value.
German Osahenrumwen is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Black Creek's project portfolio. As Operations Manager, he coordinates field teams, equipment mobilization, vendor management, and safety performance across upstream, EPCI, and marine engagements.
His operational rigor ensures that contracted scopes are delivered on schedule, on budget, and to the highest HSE and quality standards — across all of the operating environments in which Black Creek works.
Black Creek's executive team is supported by a deep bench of senior project managers, drilling engineers, EPCI specialists, marine superintendents, and HSE advisors. We tailor leadership rosters per assignment — bringing the right discipline mix to each project as it scales.
Our delivery model favours small, accountable, deeply experienced teams over large but generic contractor structures. We staff for outcomes — not headcount.
These principles shape every decision our leadership team makes — whether contracting a multi-million dollar EPCI scope or assigning a single rope access technician.
Every project, every shift, every decision starts with HSE. We have zero appetite for shortcuts that put people, environment, or assets at risk — and we hold the line at the executive level.
Plans, procedures, and audit trails. Our leaders embed governance into every workflow so that quality is structural — not optional.
We invest in Nigerian engineers, technicians, vendors, and supply chains — operating to international codes and HSE benchmarks. NOGIC JQS-certified, ISO-aligned, globally credible.
Each project has a named senior leader. Each scope has a named owner. No diffusion of accountability — when something needs decided, the person who owns it decides.
